Making H’s

Harrison has been doing great with the potty training, which is exciting stuff! Today he started putting his hand up if I start to follow him into the bathroom to help and he says, “No, no come with me. I do it myself.” Then half way through he says “Mommy! I [...]

Winking

Bike riding

Had another good day of potty training today!  I think we’ve definitely turned a corner, so that’s exciting!
I haven’t taken any pictures lately…I need to be doing that more. Somehow time gets away from me during the day. I don’t think I’ve posted these from a couple of weeks ago, so I thought [...]

Two things that made me laugh today.

Harrison and I were watching tv and saw some kids playing soccer. I said “Look Harrison, those kids are playing soccer!”. He looked at me and said “No mom. They are playing white ball.”. Nothing I said would convince him otherwise.
And we’re still attempting potty training. He has [...]

This week, I can relate to this quote…

“When my kids become unruly, I use a nice, safe playpen. When they’re finished, I climb out.”
~Erma Bombeck
Saw it on Jill Savage’s website.  I just got done reading her book, Real Moms, Real Jesus, and highly recommend it.  It was great…might even try to do a study this fall with it.

My birthday flowers…

Maybe the mug (filled with coffee, of course) will help cheer me up on those mornings where I have a hard time getting out of bed.
Wait…that’s pretty much every morning.
I guess I’ll be washing it every night.

My hubby’s new ride…vroom, vroom

Kelly is selling his scooter (so if you know anyone looking for one…it’s a 2006, and it gets over 60 miles per gallon!!)
He is selling it because he wanted something with a little more power.  (Can’t you just hear Tim Allen doing his sound?)
Last night he got this:

And once I get a helmet, I’ll be [...]

Read this quote today…

“When God seems silent and our prayers go unanswered, the overwhelming temptation is to leave the story–to walk out of the desert and attempt to create a normal life. But when we persist in a spiritual vacuum, when we hang in there during ambiguity, we get to know God. In fact, that is how intimacy [...]
