My hubby is turning 36 :)
Friday is Kelly’s birthday. I want to take some time to wish him a Happy Birthday. He truly is my best friend, and I am so blessed to be married to him.
He is the best daddy to Harrison I could ever ask for.
He does the whole bedtime routine with Harrison almost every night so I can have a few minutes of downtime and finish up things to the house, work on the computer, or do whatever.
He encourages me daily as a mom, and is always telling me I am doing a great job…even when I’m not. He can tell when I need a break, and encourages me to go do something for myself.
He is multi-talented in so many things, and is always surprising me with the things he can do. Some of them are technical, but not all. (Did you know he sang on the first Calvary CD?)
He is really challenging himself, and me, to trust God with our everyday lives, and truly follow God’s will for us.
He makes a living by doing something he is passionate about, even though he could be making more money in another career. He is following his passion, and I respect him for that.
He is a fix-it guy. He can fix so many things around the house, and usually does it without complaining.
He has been working on getting all new trim in our house, and fixing many things to make it nicer.
I love spending time with him. I look forward to him coming home, just so we can be around each other. Believe me, we get on each other’s nerves, too, and we’re not perfect, but there isn’t anyone else I’d rather be around.
This isn’t an exhaustive list, but it is time for bed.
I love you, Kelly. When we met on our blind date, I never could have imagined where God would lead us, and will continue to lead us. I am so glad you are the one God picked out for me. Have a wonderful birthday!

Happy Birthday Kelly!
That is so cool that you met on a blind date. Same with Dan and I! I never knew that about you until I read it here. So cool that we have that in common. Godly husbands/dads are definitely reflecting Jesus in our dark world. PTL for them! Lydia wants to make a ‘Thank you God for Daddies’ on our front sidewalk in chalk for Dan’s Father’s Day surprise. She came up with the message herself and I think it is something she gave a lot of thought to.
