Hey Amy just checking in to see if things are looking brighter. Hoping they are. When David was deployed summer of 2007 both a/c units on our house died. $10,000 later and one empty investment fund..... we are nice and toasty in the winter and cool in the summer. Home ownership isn't always all it is cracked up to be. When the a/c went out I would have loved to have been able to call the landlord.... Oh yeah that's me. Anyway I do hope things are looking better for you and that you have found out what is going on with your mail! I would be uber upset over that. But I already have a love hate relationship with my postmaster. :)

Amy - not sure if you have any interest in it, but we have American Home Shield and have had nothing but a 100% positive experience with it - they have replaced our A/C unit ($3,000!), sump pump, fixed our furnace, and now our dryer and gave us the option to fix our stove or give us a $300 credit towards a new one (the cost of the repair to them).

You may have already had too many things replaced or fixed in your home, but I can't say enough good things about it! It has saved us a TON of money.

It also covers things like pipes, ductwork, electrical problems and things like that.

It might be worth checking out!!!

(especially since like us, you know the people that lived in your house prior weren't very honest and didn't take the best care of things!)
