No Pain, No Gain
So I’ve been going to the Y. I decided that for me to feel better and be a better mom, I need to get some extra weight off. I have REALLY enjoyed going. It really has been a sort of stress reliever. So far I have been doing the treadmill and some weight machines. Trying to start off at a good pace so I don’t hurt myself.
Today I decided I would try an aerobics class, just to keep things mixed up a bit. I must have mixed up the days or something because when I was talking to one of the other ladies, she said, “Oh, this is the chicometrics class.” Well, I suppose that’s ok. I wanted to do this one anyway, just a little ways down the road. It’s a toning class, using small repetitive movements. And really, I hardly broke a sweat. It wasn’t an aerobic workout.
Still…oh my goodness. My body has not moved like that in more than 10 years. I thought I did pretty good to keep up. But I am going to PAY tomorrow. I am sore. It’s a good kind of sore. Like, “Yes, I did it.” But I’m still sore.
I will probably take the class again, but not for the rest of this week. And maybe not next week, either. And I am definitely double checking the schedule next time.

YAY YOU!!!!! I was going to the Y pretty reg. a year and a half ago. I keep telling David I am going to go again and please don’t cancel the membership. I just have issues making the time for it. Maybe if I wasn’t homeschooling…. maybe if we didn’t have livestock…. maybe if I …… oh the excuses just roll. I know I need to be there, just got to get off my tush and go.
way to go amy!!! i’ve done that class before. i’m soooooo impressed!
Sore is good; pain is bad. Remember to stretch, and walking usually helps with my soreness. Keep up the good work! (Ok, I’m off my soap box now. I could talk sports and exercise all the time…)
