All kids are just so different... Some advice that I was given was to not fool around too much with pull ups and such - wetting a pull up is not the same as wetting your real clothes. (although pull ups are better for the parents!) This person had several kids and she just said to stick them in underwear and go with it. I think that advice did help a bit with us... It took a few weeks before he was "completely" potty trained but it was also right around his 3rd birthday and I think he was really ready. (I think that helps too!)
