Thanksgiving Eve
Not too much going on on this Thanksgiving Eve. Harrison is in bed already. I’m in the middle of making some oatmeal rolls…mmmmm, one of my favorites at the holidays.
We’ll be joining some gracious friends and their family tomorrow to share in a Thanksgiving celebration.
We truly have so much to be thankful for.
And, I read today over on Jody’s blog that Water For Christmas hit $10,000 sometime today. That means TWO wells! Two wells for two communities that do not have clean water today. Soon they will. How awesome is that?
Jody also has a challenge for us as we approach Black Friday. I am in! I really can’t stand shopping on Black Friday anyway, but now it really has a new meaning for me. I saw a commercial tonight for a store opening TOMORROW at 7:00 am. What? A few years ago it was 7:00 on Friday morning. Then it became 6:00 am. Then 4:00 am. Last year I heard of stores opening at midnight. And now Thanksgiving Day?
Let’s at least give Thanksgiving the respect it deserves. To stop and share a meal, and a day, with those we love. To think about how much we truly have to be thankful for.
