4th of July

Our sweet neighbor, Wendi, brought over this adorable little outfit for Harrison on the 3rd.  It was brand new with the tags on it and her youngest son never got the chance to wear it, so she thought Harrison might be able to.  It fits him great, and it came complete with a flag on the front and the back, perfect for the 4th of July!

This was the last picture taken before my camera battery went dead, and I then found out our 2nd battery has a nice bulge in it, and won’t work any longer.  So, I couldn’t get another picture of him, but I was impressed that he actually stood there and waited for me to take the picture.

We didn’t do too much on the 4th.  Mom and I went to the mall at Coralville so Kelly and Dad could work on the trim without Harrison running at their feet.  They had also finished painting the top kitchen cabinets, so dad finished putting the doors back on.  As always, we were so grateful for their help, and I know Harrison had a great time with them, too.

They left yesterday morning, and when Harrison and I got back from church last night the first thing he did was go to their bedroom door…when he realized they weren’t here, he got the saddest look on his face.  Makes me wish we were closer.  :(

  1. I totally know what you mean about wishing we were closer. All the way home today, Jack kept saying, “ga-ga (grandpa). I’m pretty sure he thought we were just going for a long ride and Grandpa would be there when we arrived.
