I found this article on the web-site of the Lincoln paper. I just thought it was great that the son of this victim is reaching out to others, even through his grief.

Wow…I had not seen this article, but think it is very important. Tell your kids (and do it yourselves) to give a few minutes to the kid (person) “who is sitting by themselves in the lunchroom”. Sometimes I think we are afraid to approach that person, let alone wonder what others will think, but just acknowledging someone might make them feel more worthwhile. I guess this is not news, but sometimes we need to be reminded.
