The Erika Kate Foundation
The last several months, I’ve had the honor to work with Rich and Traci Maynard on the development of their website for The Erika Kate Foundation. The Maynard’s lost their daughter, Erika, when she was just four years old to a severe form of heart and lung disease after having battled it for over a year.
You can read more of their story at the EKF website, but out of their overwhelming experience, they have established the foundation with the mission “to help ease the emotional, spiritual, and financial burdens borne by parents of children with life threatening heart disease or pulmonary hypertension.”
I encourage you to check out their website and support the EKF if possible. They are seeking to meet some great needs that no one else is currently addressing. The help they need is primarily financial, but also word of mouth advertising.
If you cannot help financially, you can still help by simply getting the word out. Some ideas include placing a link or posting on your blog/website or in the signature of your emails so that others can be made aware of the need. Thanks in advance for your help!
