Ooops

One of our new neighbors, Caren, invited Harrison and I over to decorate a sugar egg for Easter. It is very pretty (she actually decorated the egg for us while I held Harrison) and she said it should last for years…it will be a nice keepsake from Harrison’s first Easter. It was nice to talk with Caren, too, and get to know some of the neighbors.

I walked back over to the house and noticed that Kelly’s truck was gone (he was home when I left and thought he would be there when I got back) and I didn’t mention to him to be sure to leave door unlocked as I didn’t take my keys. I was right next door! I got to the door and it was locked. Now, remember it is about 32 degrees and windy. I had a hat and blanket on Harrison, but it was cold. I checked the back sliding door. Locked. I could get into the garage but the door to the house…locked. So I headed back over to the neighbors. I was a little worried because Kelly was headed up to the QC for the evening to run sound for a concert. My neighbor let me use her phone to call…it went directly into his voice mail…hmmm. I called church…not there. I called Jody to see about getting Andy’s cell phone # to see if they were together. Andy was with Jody, and I found out Kelly was on his way there. I gave them instructions to not let him leave yet! I called Kelly again and he answered…he was on his way back home. So, I got to visit a few more minutes with my new neighbor until he got home. I’m so glad he wasn’t in the QC yet!

The moral of the story…I need to get an extra key made and put it in a safe hiding place outside somewhere. :)

  1. Not fun. Even when it’s just, but when you add a baby into the mix it seems 30 degrees colder!!
