Whew!
What a week! Spent several nights in the basement family room with Amy and I, Harrison, and Amy’s folks. On Thursday night, after getting carpet, we moved our bed to our room and Harrison’s crib to his room. Everyone has slept better since.
We have all of the carpeted rooms painted (4 bedrooms & living room) but they still need trim. Other rooms need paint and trim, but we are going to take a break and settle in a bit. Amy’s parents left this morning. They were a HUGE help for us!
Harrison has been doing a lot more. He rolled over once on his own this week. Last night he said ” Ga, ga, kkkk.” He is grabbing things in a more coordinated manner. He can about get his own binky in his mouth (has done so several times).
We really feel like this is home for some reason. More so than the old house – even after living there for 7 years. Don’t know why. Maybe it’s all the work we put in it. Maybe the old house felt more like someone else’s house. Maybe it’s more what we see being in long term. Hard to describe.
Haven’t found the box with the cameras yet, so there are no new pictures. We hope to find it today or tomorrow!
Snow is supposed to finally find us tonight. Haven’t had any since last winter!
