Busy week…

It has been a very busy week around here. Before we went to Nebraska, we looked at a house that we were interested in (we weren’t going to look until sometime next year but this one came up & we decided we would go for it now). Well, we put in an offer & it was accepted, so we are now getting our house ready to sell. I know this is probably the worst time to try and sell a house because of the holidays, but I keep telling myself God knows the details of this and I am putting my trust in him. I have to remind myself this about every 10 minutes.

My parents were here again to help out and we got some small projects done on Monday so we could have realtors come tour the house on Tuesday. My parents and I ended up going to the Quad Cities to get Harrison’s 3 month pictures taken and we took Phoebe so she wouldn’t be home to drive all of the realtors nuts.

We actually had a last minute showing tonight in the midst of fixing a small Thanksgiving meal. My parents are leaving early in the morning for Pennsylvania to go to our nephew’s baptism, so we had our meal together tonight. Tomorrow we will be going to some friends of ours who are hosting a small army of people…I am looking forward to visiting with everyone and thankful they invited us to share their Thanksgiving with them.

There is so much to be thankful for tonight. The obvious: family, friends, a roof over our heads, clothes on our back and food on our table. A healthy baby boy who is an absolute joy and the opportunity for me to stay at home with him. A husband who is supportive and helpful and takes care of me and whom I love with all of my heart…he is my best friend. Our parents are wonderful. They are so willing to help us with anything they can and we love them all so much. They are wonderful grandparents, too! And most of all I’m thankful for the hope that we have in Christ. I am so thankful for His love and forgiveness…and that he doesn’t just forgive one time. His love for us endures forever.
